Become someone you’d actually want to work for. That’s most of leadership right there.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
The simplest guide to leading people is already in your head, assembled from everybody who has managed you well or badly. You know exactly what made a shift bearable and what made it miserable, and that knowledge beats any theory. The difficulty is applying it when you are the tired one with the pressure on you. Most bad management is not malice, it is forgetting.
Write down three things a manager did that made your job better and three that made it worse. Keep the list. When it is your turn, even over a small group project, read it before you start handing out instructions.
