Accepting a job far from home is a choice about family dinners, too. Count those.

RESILIENCE
Distance is usually priced in rent and flights and almost never in the things it actually costs. Moving away means missing the ordinary evenings: the birthdays you catch on a screen, the Sunday meals, your grandparents getting older while you are three hours away. Those are not reasons to stay, and they belong in the calculation rather than arriving as a surprise.
Work out honestly how often you would get back, in days per year, and whether that is enough. Ask what the job would need to be worth for the answer to be yes.
How many ordinary evenings at home would a move cost you?
