Some problems are delayed invoices.

Some difficulties are simply bills arriving. Rest not taken, maintenance deferred, conversations postponed, savings not built, all of it holds for a while and then comes due, usually at an inconvenient moment and often with interest. Nothing unfair is happening, only the delay ending.

Make a short list of what you are currently deferring. You do not need to clear it. Pick the one whose interest is compounding fastest and pay a little of it this week, before the timing is chosen for you.
