Roots provide nourishment, but branches still need room.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Where you come from feeds you, and it cannot also determine your direction. A tree that never grew away from the roots would not be a tree. Families sometimes read distance as rejection when it is only the natural shape of a life extending, and the person leaving often feels guilty about something entirely normal. Both the depth and the reach are necessary.

If you are pulling away, keep the connection deliberate while you do it. Regular contact makes the growing less frightening for everyone. Room and roots are not competing needs.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Where do you need more room than the people raising you allowed?
