Your first job’s review will say what you did, not what you meant to do.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Good intentions are invisible from the outside. Your manager sees the shelves stocked or not stocked, the shift covered or uncovered, the register counted right. Everything you planned to do, meant to do, or nearly did lives only in your head. That gap is where most first-job disappointment comes from.

Pick one thing this week that you have been meaning to do at work and finish it where someone can see it. If a task genuinely cannot be done, say so out loud instead of hoping it reads as effort. Being told what the actual standard is beats guessing at it.
