A lot of regret isn’t from one big choice. It’s from the same small one, made every day.

RESILIENCE
People expect regret to be about dramatic moments, and most of it turns out to be about repetition. Not the one night, but the hundred evenings that went the same way without anyone deciding. Each instance is too small to carry any weight, and the sum of them is what you end up looking at.
Find the one daily thing you suspect you will mind having done this much, and change its shape rather than banning it. Make it slightly harder to start and give the freed time somewhere specific to go. Judge it by the week, since a single day will not show you anything.
