Trying something where everyone can watch you be bad at it is one of the quickest ways to stop being bad at it.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Learning in private lets you hide whatever you are worst at, which is comfortable and slow. In public your weak spots get seen, which means they also get named, corrected, and sometimes fixed by somebody who recognizes them from their own beginning. Visibility speeds the whole thing up. The price is a few weeks of being obviously the worst person in the room.

Choose the version with witnesses this week: the class rather than the video, the court rather than the driveway. When somebody corrects you, say thanks and try it their way straight away.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who would you let watch you fumble through the learning?
