Riders say the horse takes the jump with you, not for you. Nobody else can be brave in your place.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Partnership is not a transfer. A coach can prepare you, a friend can stand at the gate, a team can carry part of the load, and none of them can take the fear off you at the jump. That is not loneliness, it is just how courage works, since it has to pass through the person doing the thing. Support makes it possible and never makes it automatic.
Notice if you are waiting for somebody to make you feel ready, because that permission never arrives from outside. Take the help that is genuinely useful: the practice, the lift, the company. Then accept that the last step is yours.
Which jump have you been hoping someone else would take?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
