The lone genius is a convenient story and almost never the actual arrangement. A film you love had modelers, riggers, lighters, editors, composers and a long chain of people fixing each other’s mistakes. Even work with one name on it usually sits on top of teachers, collaborators and someone who said the useful thing at the right moment.
Find one person to make something with this month, even a small thing. Give them real territory rather than errands, and let them change the parts you were precious about. You will learn more from one argument about a choice than from a week of agreeing with yourself.
