Inspiration is a nice visitor. Your routine is the person who actually lives there.

CREATIVITY
Waiting to feel inspired puts your output at the mercy of weather you do not control. Inspiration does arrive, more often to people already at the desk, because it tends to show up mid-sentence rather than beforehand. A routine is unglamorous and it is also the only thing that produces work on days when nothing is calling you.
Pick a fixed slot you can actually keep, even twenty minutes after dinner. Go there whether or not you feel like it, and let the session be allowed to be bad. After three weeks you will notice the ideas have started showing up around that time.
What time of day do you reliably sit down to work?
