Two seconds of finished animation can take days to make. Don’t judge your project by how fast it seems to grow.

CREATIVITY
Some work has a terrible ratio of effort to visible progress, and animation is near the top of the list. Hundreds of decisions produce a result you can watch in less time than it takes to sneeze. If you measure yourself by how much there is to show, you will feel like you are failing while doing the job correctly.
Track time instead of output for one week on a slow project. Write down the hours, not the minutes of finished footage. On the days it looks like nothing happened, the log will tell you otherwise, which is usually enough to get you back to the desk.
