When your favorite artist drops something new, study what changed. Growing in public is part of the job.

CREATIVITY
Watching someone you admire change is more useful than watching them repeat. The gap between their last work and this one shows you what they got curious about, what they dropped, and what they were willing to risk in front of everybody. Growing in public is uncomfortable for them too, which is easy to forget when you are only the audience. Noticing the change teaches more than loving the result.
Next time an artist you follow releases something, write two lines on what is different. Then look at your own last two pieces the same way.
