Work made for a specific person tends to land harder than work aimed at everyone, and your younger self is a person you know in real detail. You remember exactly what was not being said out loud back then, and that gap is useful material. Somebody is living in it right now. Writing for them is not nostalgia, it is aiming at a real listener.

Think back to what you wished someone had told you at that age and write it down as plainly as you can. Make something around it without softening the uncomfortable part. Put it where a younger person might actually find it.
