Respect your past self’s work even when it’s cringe. They had less to work with than you do now.

CREATIVITY
Your earlier work was made with less, by somebody who could not have known what you know now. Wincing at it is only possible because your eye moved, which means that old piece is partly responsible for the standard you are judging it with. Contempt for a younger version of yourself is a strange way to treat an ally. They did the part you could not skip.
Find something you made two or three years ago and name one thing in it that was genuinely good. Keep it rather than deleting it. Next time you wince, say what you learned there instead of what is wrong.
What did your younger self manage with far less than now?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
