You don’t have to choose one art. Rappers draw. Painters cook. Every medium feeds the others.

Mediums are not territories you have to pick between. Habits you build in one turn up in another, so drawing teaches a rapper about shape and cooking teaches a painter about balance, and none of that transfer happens if you specialise too early. Pressure to choose usually comes from outside, from people who want a simple label for you. Breadth is not a lack of commitment.

Spend an afternoon this month on a form you do not consider yours. Make something ordinary in it without trying to be good. Watch for what it gives back to the thing you care about most.
