Editing a video teaches you that what you leave out matters as much as what you put in.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY
Absence shapes a piece as much as presence does. Cutting teaches that faster than anything else, because you watch a scene improve when something leaves and realise an audience never misses what they never saw. Everything you include competes for attention with everything else you include. Omission is a positive act rather than a failure to supply.
Remove a tenth of something you have made, choosing deliberately what goes. Watch or read both versions back to back. Notice whether anything you cut was actually missed.
What could you cut from something you made this month?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
