The seam ripper comes in the sewing kit for a reason. Undoing is part of making.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Undoing is a tool rather than a failure, which is why it is supplied alongside the needles. Every craft involves taking things apart: the pulled stitch, the deleted paragraph, the coat of paint sanded back. Treating that as proof of incompetence makes you unwilling to fix things, and unwillingness to fix is what actually limits quality. Makers unpick constantly and think very little of it.
Take something you are tolerating because redoing it feels like defeat, and undo that part on purpose. Notice how fast it actually goes. Keep the tool close so the next correction feels ordinary rather than dramatic.
What would you need to undo before you can continue?
