Farm kids learn early that the weather doesn’t negotiate. Get the work done while the window’s open.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Some windows are set by something outside you, and the work has to fit the window rather than your mood. Hay comes in while it is dry, and no amount of tiredness changes the forecast. Plenty of life has that shape: the exam date, the open shift, the few weeks a chance exists. Recognising a window is half of using it.

Identify one thing in front of you with a real deadline set by something other than you. Do the part you can do now rather than at your preferred pace. Save your flexibility for the tasks that genuinely have it.
