“I’ll do it later” is borrowing time from a version of you who’s already booked.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Later is not an empty room. The version of you next Tuesday already has practice, a shift and a test, and handing them your work means they lose something they had planned. Postponing feels like relief because the bill lands on somebody who is not here yet. That somebody is still you.

When you catch yourself saying later, ask when exactly, then look at the day you just named. If it already holds three things, do a piece of the task now, even a small piece. Future you cannot argue back, so argue on their behalf.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

How busy will tomorrow you actually be when it arrives?
