Fixing someone else’s mistake quietly and kindly is a high standard. Mocking it is a low one.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

How you handle other people’s mistakes says more about you than how you handle your own. Quietly fixing something, with no audience and no commentary, keeps the standard high and the person intact. Making a joke of it lowers both and teaches everyone to hide errors from you, after which the work gets worse. That is the cost nobody counts.

Fix one thing this week without telling anybody you did. If it genuinely needs mentioning, say it privately and briefly. Be the person people are willing to admit things to.
