Sewers press each seam right after stitching it. Finishing is built into every step, not bolted on at the end.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Neatness is not a final stage; it belongs inside each step. Pressing a seam as you go keeps the piece accurate so the final result needs no rescue, while leaving all the tidying for later compounds small distortions into a shape that no longer fits. Work arrives in roughly the state you kept it in along the way. The end cannot repair the middle.
Close each step properly this week before you open the next one. Save the file, label the box, wipe the bench. Finishing continuously is less work than finishing all at once.
Could you tidy as you go instead of afterwards?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
