Sometimes moving forward means leaving without receiving the explanation you deserved.

Some things end without an explanation and without the acknowledgement you were owed. Waiting for it keeps you attached to a person or situation that has already demonstrated it will not provide it, and the waiting can go on for years. You are entitled to the explanation. You are also allowed to move on without receiving it.

If you are waiting for closure that is not coming, try writing out what you would have wanted to hear, for yourself rather than for them. Then let the wanting exist without letting it hold your position. Moving on without an explanation is not the same as accepting that none was owed.
