In winter, honeybees cluster and shiver their flight muscles to keep each other warm. Hard seasons are team work.
RESILIENCE
RESILIENCE
Hard conditions are survived collectively far more often than individually. A single bee cannot keep itself warm through a winter, and the solution is not a stronger bee but thousands of them pressed together making heat that none of them could produce alone. Difficulty tends to make people withdraw, which is exactly backwards. The warmth comes from the cluster.
During your next hard stretch, tell one person what is going on rather than going quiet. Do something shared and ordinary with people, even if you do not feel sociable. If you can see somebody else in a cold season, sit closer rather than waiting to be asked.
