Some years faith is mostly just showing up. That still builds something.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
There are stretches when conviction thins out and all that is left is attendance, and that can feel like fraud. It is not. Keeping a practice through a season when you feel nothing is its own kind of faithfulness, and the structure it holds open is what you come back to when feeling returns.
If this is a flat season for you, let the bar be presence rather than intensity. Keep one small habit going and stop grading how it felt. Tell someone you trust that it is a dry stretch, since saying so out loud removes some of the sense of pretending.
Have you kept showing up somewhere without feeling much?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
