A small church with twelve people is not a small thing to the twelve people.

Size is a poor measure of significance. A gathering of twelve looks like nothing from outside and is the whole of something for the twelve people inside it, who know each other’s names and would notice at once if one stopped coming. Scale impresses strangers. Being known is what the people there actually came for.
Stop measuring whatever you are part of by how many people are in it. Ask instead whether the people there are known, and whether you would be missed. If your group is small, learn everybody properly, since that becomes impossible later in a crowd.
Which small group of yours matters enormously to its members?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
