Admitting “I have no idea” during Bible study is how the real conversation starts.
GRATITUDE
GRATITUDE
Not knowing is where conversation actually begins. In any room with a shared belief there is pressure to sound settled, so everybody performs a confidence they do not have and nothing real gets said for an hour. One person admitting they are lost lets everybody else stop acting. The question you are embarrassed to ask is usually the question four other people also have.
Ask the stupid question this week, out loud, in the group you care about. Phrase it plainly and do not soften it into something cleverer. Then notice who exhales and follows you in with their own.
Would you admit not understanding if the room felt safe?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
