Starting over isn’t going backwards. It’s what grace makes possible.

Starting again gets filed as regression, which is why so many people refuse to do it and keep going in a direction they already know is wrong. Going back to the beginning with what you now know is not the same as being back where you were. Grace is what makes the restart available at all. Without it you would be stuck defending every previous decision forever.

Name the thing you have been too proud to restart. The subject, the training, the friendship, the habit. Begin it again this week from zero and let yourself be a beginner out loud.
