A season of feeling far from God doesn’t mean He moved. Ask Him anyway where He’s been standing.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Distance is not always movement. A flat stretch, where nothing is felt and the whole thing seems to have gone quiet, gets read as abandonment, and then the reading becomes the reason to stop looking. Feeling nothing is a report about your own state rather than a measurement of who is present. Seasons like that are extremely common and almost nobody mentions them out loud.

Ask the question directly this week rather than going silent about it. Where have you been, and where are you now. Then carry on with the ordinary practice while you wait for the answer.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

When did you last feel distant from something you still believe in?
