Losing your temper at your mom and apologizing before bed is a whole sermon on repentance.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Repentance is a smaller and more domestic event than the word suggests. You shouted at your mother, you knew within ten minutes that you were wrong, and you went and said so before the day closed. That is the entire pattern: see it, admit it, turn around, do not let it set overnight. Nothing about it needs an audience or a particular vocabulary.

If you lost your temper today, close the loop before you sleep. Say the specific thing you did, leave out what provoked it, and do not negotiate for a response.
