Peter denied Jesus three times. Jesus made him breakfast anyway.

GRATITUDE
He had denied knowing him, out loud, repeatedly, at the worst possible moment. What came next was not a confrontation or a period of probation but a fire on a beach and food cooked for him. Restoration arriving as breakfast is a strange detail and a deliberate one. It suggests the first move after a serious failure is ordinary care rather than an inquest.
If you let somebody down badly, let them feed you when they offer. And if somebody has failed you and come back, consider starting with something ordinary and kind rather than the conversation.
What would it take for you to feed someone who abandoned you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
