If you’re upset nobody noticed you served, check whether you were serving or performing.

Irritation at not being noticed is useful information about the original motive. If the work was for the work, being unseen barely registers; if a quiet part of you was expecting acknowledgement, the absence of it stings and you find yourself mentioning what you did. That is not a moral disaster, it is just worth knowing about yourself. Almost everybody is doing some of both.
When the sting arrives this week, do not argue with it. Ask plainly what you were hoping somebody would say, and then finish the job anyway without saying it yourself.
Which good deed of yours felt worse when nobody mentioned it?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
