Mowing a neighbor’s lawn and edging it even though they’d never notice? That’s doing it for God.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

The part of a job nobody will check is where your actual standard lives. Edging a lawn that gets glanced at from a window and never inspected has no payoff you can collect. Doing it anyway means the work is not aimed at approval, and that changes what the work is. Whatever you consider the reason, you are building the habit of finishing things properly.

Choose one task this week and do the invisible ten percent: under the sofa, the back of the shelf, the far corner of the yard. Nobody will mention it. Pay attention to how it feels to walk away from something actually done.
