Jesus spent His last meal with the friend who’d betray Him and the friend who’d deny Him. He still passed the bread.

Knowing exactly what two people at the table are about to do, and feeding them anyway, is a strange kind of composure. It is not naivety, because there is no uncertainty in the story about what is coming. It is a decision to keep treating them as guests up to the moment they stop behaving like it. Most people would have moved the seating.
You probably know who at your table is unreliable. You can be careful with what you tell them and still pass the bread. Keep them included this week without pretending you have not noticed anything.
Could you share a meal with someone you knew would betray you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
