Praying for someone is the one favor they never have to know about.

Most help comes with a social cost attached. The other person has to be grateful, or at least acknowledge it, which quietly turns the favour into a small debt. This one has no such mechanism. Nobody is informed, nobody owes anything, and the person on the receiving end never has to manage your generosity.

Do something for someone this week that they will not find out about. Keep it to yourself permanently, including the part where you would like credit. Notice how different it feels to help with nothing coming back.
