When Elijah was burned out under a tree, the first thing God gave him was sleep and food, not a lecture.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is no analysis offered to the man under the tree. He is not told what he got wrong, not asked to explain himself, and given no plan. He gets fed and allowed to sleep, and the conversation happens later. Treating depletion as a problem of understanding is a common mistake, and it usually makes people worse.

When a friend is flattened this week, bring food and say very little. Resist the explanation you have prepared about what they should do. Ask what would help, then do the dull practical version of it.
