You can be unsure about a lot and still be sure about Who you’re talking to.

Certainty is not all one piece. You can have no settled view on a dozen difficult questions and still know perfectly well who you are addressing, the way you can be unsure of almost everything about your family and still know your mother. Belief is often relational before it is propositional. Losing the arguments is not the same as losing the person.

Stop auditing the list of things you have not worked out yet. Keep the conversation going while the questions stay open, which is how most people manage it. Let the unsettled parts be unsettled for another year.
