Setting off without the full itinerary is hard, because the usual way to feel safe is knowing where you will end up. In the story the instruction came with no address attached. Moving anyway is not recklessness if the direction is right, and certainty often arrives after the first few steps. Most big changes look like that from the inside.

When you have been waiting for the whole plan, pick the next step that does not need it. Send the application, book the trial, ask the question. You are allowed to begin with partial information, which is all anybody ever has.
