GRATITUDE
Both are present at once in almost everybody, and the mistake is thinking one must leave before you can act. Fear is information, usually about what you care about and what could go wrong. It becomes a problem only when it is making the decisions. The question is not whether you are afraid but what you do meanwhile.
Name the fear out loud this week, specifically rather than as general dread. Then decide the next action separately, as though the fear were a passenger with opinions. Go to the tryout, make the call, sit the exam.
What are you scared of and doing anyway this week?
