God can use a gap year, a wrong major and a part-time job. He’s not stuck on your original plan.

Detours are not deleted time. A wrong major teaches you what you do not want, a gap year teaches you how to fill a day without a schedule, and a part-time job teaches you to be useful to strangers. None of that shows up on the original plan, and all of it goes with you. Whether or not you believe someone is directing it, nothing you learn gets thrown away.

Name one thing the unglamorous version of your life right now is actually teaching you. Get specific enough that you could put it in a sentence.
