The best volunteers don’t need to be thanked. They do need to be noticed once in a while. Notice them.

Steady people are easy to skip precisely because they never ask. Someone who sets up every week without complaining becomes part of the furniture, and the lack of fuss gets read as not minding. Most of them do not want applause from a stage. They want one sign that a person noticed they were there and that the thing does not run itself.
Name one steady person around you and tell them the specific thing you noticed. Not a general thanks, the actual detail. Say it in person if you can manage it this week.
Which volunteer around you deserves to be noticed this week?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
