Taking a real day off is a way of telling God you trust Him with the stuff you didn’t finish.

Rest is a statement about who is holding the outcome. Working through every available hour assumes that if you stop, everything stops, which is a heavy thing to believe about yourself at sixteen. Stopping on purpose, with the list unfinished, is a way of saying the world will keep running without your supervision. Whether or not you share that belief, the claim is one your body already agrees with.
Take one actual day off this week. Leave the unfinished thing unfinished and resist checking on it. It will still be there, and so will you.
What unfinished thing keeps you from ever truly resting?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
