You don’t need a perfect day to have a good minute. Grab the minute.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

All-or-nothing thinking writes off entire days that still had something in them. Once a morning goes badly the whole thing gets filed as a loss, and you stop looking for anything decent in the remaining fourteen hours. Days are not single units. They are made of minutes, and a bad one does not actually use up the good ones that are still available.

The next time today starts falling apart, take one good minute on purpose. Step outside, eat something you like, call the person who makes you laugh. Then carry on with the bad day.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What small good thing could you grab in the next hour?
