In group projects, notice who did the boring parts. Thank that person first.

GRATITUDE
Attention in a group goes to whoever presents, and the work that made the presentation possible is usually elsewhere. Someone formatted, chased the missing section, fixed the references, read it through at eleven at night and found the error. The person doing it is also the least likely to mention it, which is how it goes uncredited twice.
Name that person out loud when the project is handed in, in front of the others and the teacher. Then take a turn at the dull half next time rather than volunteering for the talking. Groups shift fast once somebody makes the invisible work countable.
Who took the dull work on your last group project?
