Being copied is unsettling, because it means somebody has been watching closely enough to pick up your phrasing without ever being taught it. A younger sibling is not flattering you; they are building themselves partly out of material you supply without noticing. That hands you influence you did not ask for and cannot give back. It shows up in small habits far more than in advice.

Look out this week for one thing of yours they have taken on. Then pick a habit you would actually want them to have and make it visible. How you speak to your parents is a good place to start.
