The library computers and Wi-Fi got a lot of people through school. Maybe you. Maybe your parents.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Public things carry people quietly and then get forgotten by the people they carried. Somebody finished coursework on a library computer because there was no working one at home, and nothing about that arrangement announced itself as help. It was simply there, free, with no form to fill in. A fair number of families have a story like that, possibly including yours.

Ask your parents whether the library ever got them through something. Then use it yourself this week for one real task. Places like that stay open partly because people keep walking through the door.
