Filming turns you into a technician at the exact moment you meant to be an audience. Part of your head goes to the framing, the battery, the person in front of you, and that part is not available for the music. The recording usually gets watched once. The night you half missed does not come back.

Give yourself one song for the phone, early, and then put it away for the rest. Decide before it starts which one you are there to do, because trying to do both leaves you with a thin version of each.
