New glasses can make you dizzy for a few days while your eyes adjust. Seeing clearly takes getting used to.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

A correction feels wrong before it feels right. Your eyes spent years compensating for something, and the moment the lenses do that job instead, the whole system has to recalibrate, which arrives as swimming floors and a slight headache rather than as gratitude. You are feeling the gap between the old adjustment and the new accuracy.

So wear them properly for a week rather than putting them on and off. Then judge them. The same applies to most corrections somebody offers you: the first few days of doing it the better way feel worse than carrying on wrong.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Did any truth take you a while to get used to seeing?
