Your accent may never fully leave. It doesn’t have to. Clear beats perfect.

An accent is not an error to be corrected out of you. The useful target is being understood: the sounds that change a word’s meaning, the rhythm that lets people follow you, the endings that get swallowed. Chasing a native accent can swallow years that would have been better spent on vocabulary and confidence.

Record yourself saying a short paragraph and ask somebody which words were hard to catch. Work only on those. Let the rest of your accent stay, because it is part of how you sound rather than a fault.
