You’ll grow out of the awkward stage the same way you grew into it: without asking anyone’s permission.

The awkward stretch was not something you agreed to, and it will not need your signature to end either. Bodies and faces rearrange on their own schedule, and much of what makes this period uncomfortable is being watched while it happens. Nobody is holding a vote on when you get to look like yourself.

Since you cannot hurry the part that is out of your hands, spend the attention where effort actually answers: sleep, strength, a skill, clothes that fit the body you have now. Be patient with the rest. It is already in motion without you.
