“What’s the next small step?” beats “how do I change my whole life?” almost every time.

Big questions feel serious and produce nothing. Asking how to change everything invites a list so large that the only possible response is to feel bad and open your phone, while a question about the next step has an answer you could act on before dinner. Scale is what makes a question useful or useless.
Take whatever is weighing on you and write down the single next action, small enough to be slightly boring: send one message, find one price, book one slot. Do that one thing. Then ask the same question again tomorrow.
What is the next small step you have been skipping?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
